At Waverley Communicators, we are proud of our successful mentoring programme.
As soon as a new member joins, they are offered a mentor. You don’t have to have a mentor but it’s advisable to accept.
You will learn from an experienced club member in a positive and supportive environment.
A mentor will
- help you with the overall induction into the club.
- help you to progress through your manuals
- support you to improve your communication and leadership skills.
Everyone at the club helps each other and shares useful hints and tips.
When you deliver a speech or perform a role members will give you constructive feedback.
This feedback accelerates the speed of your progress.
All this may sound daunting and it can be intimidating visiting any new club for the first time.
Be assured you will be given a warm welcome when you arrive and you will be looked after.
